Flack-Haney Forest Products is one of the oldest timber companies in South Alabama. Originally called Flack Lumber Company, it was started by Hunter Flack in 1946. At that time, it was a Saw Mill in Elba, Alabama. After the saw mill burned down in the 1970s, Mr. Flack decided to revamp the company with a greater emphasis on buying timber and timberland. Pat Haney entered the company in 1976 and Flack-Haney Forest Products was established. Greg Bailey later joined the company in 1983 to enhance the timber procurement department. Sadly, Mr. Flack passed away in 2005, at the age of 101, but his legacy lives on through the company today.
